1996 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible

Rare SS Package

1996 Chevy camaro SS convertible SLP Car #2032features:LT1 engine, 350 ciautomatic transmission59k milesblack leather interiorchrome 19" wheelscd player, plays MP3 discspower convertible toppower door lockspower mirrorspower windowslowering springsClear/Chrome turn signalsSLP performance exhaustCar also comes with factory springs, 3 piece boot that covers the top when it is down. Smoked tail light covers.Condition: There are a few flaws in the car. I will try to list them as clearly as possible. Starting with the interior, the outside of the drivers seat had a rip in it that had been patched prior to me owning the car. It could have been done better, but it gets the job done. The sun visor straps had been cut off prior to my ownership. I know they tend to sag over the years and lose the elastic in them. Besides that, their are only a few small scuffs in the rear speaker panel area around the speakers, not sure what from, but nothing major. I never use the back seats so I don't notice them. As for the exterior, there are a few things i want to bring to your attention. Number one being the front nose. It has years of driving and has seen its share of stone knicks. Nothing major, just comes with age i guess. Also on the nose, the previous owner(s) somehow managed to barely bump the very front enough to put some spider web cracks around the camaro emblem. From a few feet you can't tell until you get right up on it. other than a few small scratches here and there on the rest of the car, and i mean few! the only other note would be the passenger side rear quarter panel. Again, not me who did it, someone bumped/ swiped/ grazed?? it along side the garage door or something. paint is fine, but there are some ripples in !the metal. im sure they can be pushed out by the dent wizard, but i've learned to live with them. I've attached pics of the area. It's hard to notice them from most angles, but they are there.ENGINE: The engine is in great shape. It's never given me any issues. I'd drive the car anywhere. The only problem i've had recently with the car was the power steering pump. It was making some noise so i replaced with. I also replaced the rearend fluid a few months back, along with the correct limited slip additive I do regular upkeep on the car. Mobile 1 synthetic oil. Always synthetic oils for this car. usually every 3 to 4 months. i dont go based on the milage or i'd only change it once a year. It doesnt get much usage being my 2nd car. OTHER: The top is in great shape and is origonal. The motor works like new. I think the drivers side window motor was replaced before i took ownership of the car, but the pass side seems stock. Its a slight bit slower then the drivers side. I've got work papers from the previous owner which i will include with this sale. All the power options on this car work great. NON SMOKER, NO KIDS helps to keep it in such good condition. The future owner will be surprized how near perfect this car really is. People can't believe this car is almost 14 years old. This car left the assembly line as a 1996 Z28 convertible. Before it made its way to a dealership or the person who ordered it, SLP engineering got their hands on it. They changed the hood, spoiler, wheels, floor mats, exhaust, shocks/springs, engine air intake. A package which cost $4,000 in upgrades. And a look that screams high performance. The horse power rating jumped from 285 to 315 with the ram air and optional SLP exhaust system. After 1996, SLP had to quiet down the exhaust because it failed a drive by noise test. This car sounds PERFECT. It sounds so good, I never bothered to modify it in any way. Please contact me with any questions, Do not be afraid to ask anything about th!e car. This car is also listed locally, and I will end the auction early if it sells before my reserve is met.
