Car Notes
2008.12.15 Ebay

Largo, FL, United States

This Car is the complete package! 2001 Camaro SS with a custom flame paint job and all black leather interior. This car has many mods which I will list. First off, it is a rair factory SLP Camaro with every option available. The audio system is the optional Monsoon 6 speaker sound system with 12 disc CD changer and remote steering wheel controls. One of the SLP options is the fiberglass SS style hood with functional scoop. The paint is a custom multi color flame design that runs from the front bumper, up the hood and along the doors to the B-pillar. It has T-tops and all the windows are tinted. The wheels are chrome corvette wheels that measure 17x9.5 on all four wheels. The car is also equiped with sub-frame connectors for added strength on the frame. It is lowered about an inch lower than stock. It has bilstein shocks, springs and bushings. The suspension has been upgraded with Dragin Motorsports Panhard rod, torque arm, lower control arm. A Hotchkis Signature Series strut tower brace was added to decrease body roll. It also has brand new Nitto Extreme NT555 275/40 ZR17 drag radials on the rear wheels.

On to the Drivetrain. The engine is an LS1 displaced 5.7L. The factory output on this engine was 345hp (with SLP options) now however with its modifications, it is now well over 500hp. It was dyno tested at 426hp to the rear wheels which translates to between 540-560hp at the flywheel. Some of the engine upgrades are as follows. A magic stick high rise camshaft with upgraded pushrods, valve springs and rocker arms. An underdrive pulley was added as well as a B.M.R. throttle body coolant bypass. It also has a F.A.S.T. 90mm intake manifold and matching 90mm Throttle Body. The air intake is a K&N cone style filter with smooth bellows. It has upgraded fuel injectors and M.S.D. 8.5 mm spark plug wires. The exhaust is made up of a set of SLP longtube ceramic coated headers and 3 inch dual exhaust (cats have been eliminated) with dumps. The Transmission is a Tremac T56, 6 speed manual with hydrolic clutch. The T56 is known as one of the strongest and most dependable transmissions on the market. It has a Hurst short throw shifter. The driveshaft is an SLP lightweight alluminum driveshaft. The rear end is a Moser 12 bolt with 4:10 gears.
