Car Notes
2008.11.14 Ebay

Savannah, Ga, United States
NOTE: This is an absolute real 30th Anniversary Camaro SS. It is not a clone or a copy. It is number 641 of only 957. There were less than 705 built with t-tops and automatic. Even less built with full white leather (instead of houndstooth). It is 100% original right down to the brand new (less than 500 miles on them) BFG G-Force tires. This vehicle in adition to the SS options also had these further options.

1.The 30th anniversary option...Artic white with white wheels, white leather with 30th imbossed, and hugger orange stripes. $349.00. The 30th anniversary option is of course worth much more now...

2.performance stainless steel exaust...$499.00

3.torsen torque sensing limited slip differential with aluminum cover...$999.00

4.level II Bilstein suspention...$999.00

5.SS front mats...$99.00

6.engine oil cooler package...$299.00.

The Z-28 was aprox $26000.00. The SS option was $3999.00 and the optional options totaled $3244.00. The total option cost was $7243.00. This brought the total price of the car to $33000.00. This is a very highly option car. Few had all these options. This is truly a Z-28/SS made only in 96 and 97. More facts...

1. The Camaro Z-28/SS was made only 2 years period. A Z-28 was sent to the SLP Factory and made into a Super Sport for GM. In 1998 to 2002 GM built the cars. Only in 96 and 97 are the hoods and intake are fully functional. 1998 and above hoods ARE NOT functional. The 96 and 97 are like the old years of the RS/SS etc. In 1997 there were 2500 Z-28 30th anniversary made along with 957 Super Sports...this is a Super Sport and I have the documents to prove it. Also have all the SLP stickers on the door which you may see in the pictures...

2. Last year of this front end...

3.Last year LT-1 engine...

4.First year of these tail lights (which make this car unique for 1 year...

5. 305 RWHP plus 10 for exaust...total of 315 RWHP

6. Very few had full leather (most had houndstooth)

I will also include the following items, memoravilia, documents and receipts...

1,The original window sticker

2.The original Factory SLP birth certificate

3.Original unwraped dealer vhs seller tape

4.original owners manual with leather case

5.Camaro SS owners manual supplement

6.leather Camaro SS portfolio

7.original(extremely rare) 30th anniversary key fobs.

8. original Camaro SS key fob

9.magazine with 30th anniversary article

10. Camaro SS options pamplet

11.1997 Camaro brocure

12.original Camaro SS order sheet (sealed)

This car looks and drives like a 30000 mile car. Thats the best I can describe it. I have had 11 Trans ams , 5 Corvettes and 3 Z-28s, this one drives as good as any and rides the best of any. The paint looks brand new with absolutely No dings or scratches except a few paint chips on the rear valence due to the fat tires trowing rocks backwards. The white wheels are in wonderfull shape with a few scratches. The engine and undercarage are clean and free of rust. The interior is like new and I just replaced the leather seats. Everything looks new.

As far as the almost 100000 miles it runs perfect ( at 20000 miles a year average, and over 11 years old, his car should have 220000 miles on it). So it really has low miles. The miles arent going to matter in 20 years at Barrett Jackson auction on this HIGHLY collectable car. The tune up on the LT1 engine is not even due until 100000 miles which I have done. Most nice 30th anniversary SS'S go for well over $20000.00. I have seen many asking $45000.00. Of course the only had a few miles and were put up in storage. If you want an affordable Anniversary SS, this is it. Dont miss this chance...
